Boarding
FAQ

Do you board animals?

Yes, we have a small boarding facility located in the animal hospital.

Who takes care of the animals?
An animal caretaker tends to the feeding, walking, cleaning, and TLC of the boarders. Our veterinarians and technicians handle all the medical issues.

What is the cost?
Standard accomodations for dogs are $17 per night. Those that require larger accomodations can be boarded in one of our runs for $19 per night. Cats are $13 per night. If you wish to board two of your dogs in the same run, or two of your cats in the same cage, the first pet is full price and the second is 1/2 price.

How many times per day do the dogs go outside?
The animal caretaker walks the dogs 4 times a day in the yard behind the hospital.

Do I need to bring anything (i.e. food, toys, bedding, medication)?
Please make sure to bring any medication with your pet and the technicians will administer it during their stay. However, food, toys and bedding are not required, but are allowed. If you choose to bring nothing but your pet, food and blankets are provided by us at no additional charge.

What kinds of vaccinations does my pet need to board?
Cats are required to be up to date on their Rabies and Distemper vaccines. Dogs are required to be up to date on their Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccines.

How far in advance can I make reservations?
We take boarding reservations 90 days in advance. Make sure to book early, especially during peak times such as holidays!

What else can I expect from my pet's stay at your facility?

You can be guaranteed that your pet will be treated with the same love and care that we would provide for our own pets. You can also be comforted with the knowledge that boarding at an animal hospital allows for immediate care if any medical situation should arise.
